(Standing Bear Singers)
The Standing Bear Singers (SBS) is a community dedicated to keeping the ceremonial songs alive so that they might be passed on to future generations of singers. As the caretakers of sacred songs, the SBS is responsible for providing songs at ceremonies ranging from sweat lodge to Sun Dance.
The SBS meets on a bi-weekly basis for practice sessions. Any individuals who are interested in learning these sacred songs are encouraged to contact us at drum@standing-bear.org. All who come in a good way are welcome to come, learn and be a part of this tradition.
